Mincast discovers a new article, its URL and available metadata from a supported feed.
For media and publishers
Mincast creates personalised AI news digests from sources the user chooses. Before a wider public launch we want the way each source is used to be clearly set with its publisher.
For every processed article Mincast names the original publisher and adds a direct link to the original article. We do not republish the full article text to users, and we do not take the publisher’s photographs, video or audio into the digest without corresponding permission.
The sample uses fictional articles and sources only.
Mincast uses an RSS or Atom feed to learn about new articles. If that is allowed for the source, it may then temporarily fetch the publicly available text of a given article in order to create its own AI summary.

If publisher policy allows it, the publicly available article text may be fetched temporarily. Mincast does not bypass a paywall or a login.

The source text is a temporary working input. The result is Mincast’s own paraphrased summary.

A processed article shows the original publisher and a direct link to the original URL.
Mincast audio is created with a synthetic voice from the resulting AI text. Mincast does not use the publisher’s audio or video.
Distribution back to the source
A quick orientation should be the start, not a substitute for the original. If the original page offers extra value - for example a video, a photo gallery, a full interview, live coverage or detailed data - Mincast can offer a specific next step on the publisher’s site.
If we cannot reliably recognise that kind of content, the user still has a direct link to the original source.

For articles in digests, Mincast in beta records impressions and click-throughs to original content. Outbound links may be tagged with standard UTM parameters so the publisher can also identify Mincast traffic in their own web analytics.
We can also provide aggregated results from Mincast’s internal measurement.
Before a wider launch we want to activate a source only when we have a clear right to use it - for example based on the publisher’s public terms or licence, or their explicit consent.
If a particular use requires the publisher’s prior consent, the sources stay switched off for wider use and we will not make them available to other users without consent.
In the first phase a publisher may simply approve a specific way of using their source. That approval is not a marketing partnership, an endorsement of Mincast, promotion of the service, or use of a partner label.
An approved source can be added to the Mincast catalogue, from which users pick sources for their personal digests. A user who wants to follow your publication can therefore choose it directly as one of their sources.
If later real data shows that Mincast brings the source meaningful distribution or click-throughs, we can talk with the publisher about a broader cooperation.

Mincast uses a central publisher policy. It can restrict or stop use of a particular domain, feed or kind of processing, and it also applies to user-added RSS sources.
