2. What cookies and similar technologies are

Cookies are small data files stored by the browser.

Mincast also uses other technologies with a similar function, for example:

• localStorage,
• sessionStorage,
• session tokens,
• mobile-device advertising identifiers,
• push tokens,
• consent strings,
• third-party SDKs.

Some of these technologies are necessary for the Service to function. Others, in particular analytics and advertising technologies, are used only if the relevant conditions for consent are met.

3. Categories of technologies

Necessary

They serve in particular to:

• sign in,
• security,
• remember the consent choice,
• operate the website and application,
• technically deliver the requested service.

Without them some features may be unavailable.

Consent is not required for their use if they are genuinely necessary for the service requested by the user.

Preference

They serve for example to remember language or user settings.

If a preference is necessary for a feature expressly requested by the user, it may be used without separate consent.

Analytics

They serve to measure visits and use of the website.

On mincast.ai we use Google Analytics 4 only after the relevant consent.

Advertising

They serve to display, select and measure advertising.

In the FREE plan the following may be used:

• Google AdSense in the web application,
• Google AdMob in the mobile application.

In areas where consent is required, these technologies are activated in accordance with the user’s choice through a CMP, Google UMP or another corresponding mechanism.

4. Marketing website `mincast.ai`

The marketing website does not use AdSense advertising tags.

It uses in particular the following storage:

On the marketing website Mincast uses Google Analytics 4 with the identifier:

5. Google Analytics 4

We use Google Analytics 4 for basic measurement of visits to the marketing website.

Analytics storage is denied by default and Analytics is activated only after the corresponding consent is given.

Google Analytics may process in particular:

• visit information,
• a browser identifier,
• approximate geolocation,
• device information,
• pages visited,
• basic interactions with the website.

Mincast sets retention of GA4 user and event data to 2 months.

The user may refuse analytics without losing the basic functionality of the marketing website.

6. Consent on `mincast.ai`

On the first relevant visit the website offers the user the option to:

Accept or Reject analytics.

Rejection is available in the same layer as acceptance.

Until the user accepts analytics, analytics cookies and analytics storage are not activated.

Consent may be changed at any time through the Change cookie preferences function.

If the user withdraws consent, Mincast stops using analytics for further visits and, to the extent technically possible, removes its analytics cookies from the relevant domain.

Mincast generally remembers granted consent for at most 12 months.

If the user refuses consent, they will not, without a material change of circumstances, be asked for consent again earlier than approximately 6 months, unless they clear the website data in the meantime.

7. Web application `mincast.app`

The web application uses technologies needed to operate the account and may, in the FREE plan, use advertising technologies.

Necessary technologies

The session_token cookie is an HTTP-only authentication cookie and in the production environment uses security parameters corresponding to its purpose.

The server session is valid for at most 14 days from the last relevant activity, and may be renewed on an ongoing basis while the Service is used.

8. Google AdSense on `mincast.app`

FREE-plan users may be shown Google AdSense advertisements in the web application.

AdSense is not used on the marketing website mincast.ai.

Before activating advertising technologies that require consent, Mincast uses a corresponding CMP or other consent-management mechanism.

Depending on the region and consent settings, Google may use cookies or other identifiers in particular for:

• delivery of advertising,
• frequency capping,
• fraud prevention,
• measurement of advertising,
• personalisation of advertising, if the user has consented to it.

The specific cookies and providers used in the advertising ecosystem may change, and current information is shown to the user in the CMP used before consent is given.

Refusal of optional advertising purposes does not prevent use of the paid parts of the Service. In the FREE plan, the way advertisements are displayed may depend on the options Google allows for the relevant area and consent state.

9. Google OAuth and Stripe

If the user chooses to sign in with a Google account, they are redirected to Google’s environment, where Google cookies may be used according to Google’s own settings and policies.

When purchasing or managing a subscription, the user may be redirected to Stripe Checkout or the Stripe Customer Portal. Stripe may use its own necessary, security and other technologies according to its own rules.

These cookies are not set by Mincast’s marketing cookie banner, because they arise when the user interacts with the relevant external service.

10. Android and iOS mobile applications

Mobile applications do not usually use classic web cookies in the same way as an ordinary web browser.

They may, however, use similar technologies and identifiers.

These include in particular:

• an authentication token stored in the device’s secure storage,
• Google AdMob SDK,
• Google UMP,
• device advertising identifiers, if available and their use is permitted,
• a Firebase Cloud Messaging token,
• an Apple Push Notification Service token,
• Sentry SDK,
• system device permissions.

11. AdMob and Google UMP

In the FREE plan the mobile application uses Google AdMob.

This may include for example banner or interstitial advertisements.

In the EEA, the United Kingdom and other areas where Google’s rules or legal provisions so require, privacy choices are managed through Google User Messaging Platform or a similar interface.

If Google requires that the user be given access to privacy settings again, that option is also available in the application settings.

12. Push notifications

If the user enables push notifications, the application stores a device token or Web Push subscription.

These data are not used by Mincast for advertising profiling.

Push can be turned off:

• in Mincast settings,
• in the operating-system or browser settings.

Invalid or revoked tokens are retained for a limited time for technical reasons and then deleted.

13. Sentry

Mincast uses Sentry for diagnosis of technical errors.

Sentry is not used as an advertising analytics system.

It may process technical information needed for diagnosis, for example:

• application version,
• device or browser type,
• stack trace,
• URL without unnecessary query parameters,
• an internal technical identifier.

Mincast does not use Sentry Session Replay.

14. How to change your choices

On mincast.ai use the Change cookie preferences button.

In mincast.app use the relevant privacy setting or CMP, if it is displayed.

In the mobile application use the privacy / advertising settings section or Google UMP, if available.

Permissions such as notifications, location or advertising identifiers can also be managed in the device operating-system settings.

You may also remove cookies and localStorage through your browser settings.

15. Refusal of consent

Refusal of analytics or advertising technologies that are based on consent does not result in blocking of basic features that do not depend on such consent.

Some free features financed by advertising may, however, use a different advertising mode according to the advertising provider’s options and applicable legal rules.

• transfers outside the EEA,
• retention periods,
• your rights

can be found in the Mincast Privacy Policy.

17. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy, for example when the technologies or providers used or legal requirements change.

If there is a material change of processing purpose that requires new consent, we will ask the user for a new choice.
